PROM HAIRSTYLES FOR LONG HAIR 2010

Long hair is great for the prom. Choose a style that you love out of the hundreds of styles that are available. Everything from loose styles to up-dos are just waiting for you to try them.

French twists and braids are very nice to wear to prom. You can dress these styles up with beads, ribbons, and jeweled pins. There are lots of different kinds of braids and they all are great for prom. You can even make a bun using a braid for an elegant and fresh style.

A simple style is to have waves through your hair. Part off center and then let your hair fall around your face and shoulders. This look is extremely simple and because of that, people don’t normally wear it. But if you pair it with the right dress and accessories, it’ll look beautiful.

Pleat your hair on one side. Separate that from the back of your hair with a headband. Curl your loose hair and let it fall down along your neck while the pleat is pinned to the side and then swept around behind your neck to fall with the curls. This is a great look for a strapless dress and you can add a variety of accessories to get a new look any time you want it.

One great style is a French twist with bangs. The classic French twist has been updated in this style. First, part your hair on the side. Then gather it in a tight, low ponytail and twist it up until it’s flush with your scalp. Secure the twist with pins and leave your bangs straight. This is a beautiful style that you can easily add accessories to in order to make the style perfect for you. It’s also great if you want to show off great features such as high cheekbones or your eyes.

Another great style is a classic messy bun. This style is easily dressed up with accessories, and it can be made to suit any face. For example, if your face is round, you can leave some bangs loose to frame your face and help to lengthen it. To make a messy bun, pull your hair into a loose ponytail high up on your head and secure it with an elastic, preferably the same color as your hair. Twist the ponytail around its base and use bobby pins to secure it in place.
